The Nissan Frontier is a classic frame pickup truck produced in the United States since 2004. The first version of the car is well known to Russian buyers under the name Navara. However, then the paths of the American and world versions parted. The new Frontier has nothing to do with the updated Navara – it is a completely independent vehicle.

The technical basis has remained the same – the frame, front independent suspension, a durable continuous rear axle with leaf springs, and a “shorter” steering wheel with power steering. But the appearance of the novelty has undergone obvious changes and is made in the general corporate North American style: square shape, new LED optics, modern rims. Roughly the same can be said about the salon.

A new dashboard of the usual shape, hard plastic. However, there was a place for two-color displays (in the tidy and center console).

How Much Oil Does a Nissan Frontier Take?

The 2021 Nissan Frontier with the 3.8L 6-cyl engine (engine code VQ38DD) takes 5.3 quarts (with filter) of 0W-20 synthetic oil. Therefore, a new oil filter and a crush washer are required.

My 4 cyl 2017 Nissan Frontier seems to have some roughness to it’s idle but I read online that that seems to be characteristic of them.
I think Ford model Ts ran rough too but it’s just the way they ran. Do you agree?

Also, mine (and others) have a suspension squeak that I’m not loving. Is this one of their characteristics too? Any good idea of the culprit?
    Thanks,
    Rick
