DIY Toyota Camry Oil Change Recommendations

The process is quite easy and doesn’t demand much money and time investments while it contributes a lot to your vehicle’s proper functioning and saves it from a number of malfunctions. No matter if you prefer to turn to professionals or do all the work yourself, it’s important to be aware of what the oil-changing process looks like.

Toyota Camry requires an oil change once in 6 months or after every 5,000 miles are run. However, if you employ synthetic oil, this procedure can be less frequent. The new generation of Toyota Camry appeared before the world community at the International North American Detroit Auto Show in 2017, and its debut in the domestic market is scheduled for the spring of 2018. This is a full-fledged new generation and not another restyling. It received the in-plant index XV70, moved to the new modular TNGA platform, and acquired a stunning interior and mesmerizing design.

First of all, I would like to note the narrow rectangular headlights. They are a bit like the lighting fixtures on the body of the XV40 and are also equipped with small focusing lenses.

The radiator grille is made in the form of a narrow slot adjacent to the sections of the LED running lights. It plays rather a decorative role and flaunts the manufacturer’s logo. Under it, along the entire length of the front bumper, there is a huge air intake.

It consists of many tightly fitted horizontally oriented ribs and gives the front a truly luxurious appearance. In general, the model received a new, more interesting design, but at the same time, it retained its family features and is still perfectly recognizable on the road.

My 2003 Toyota Camry 4 cyc…has almost 300,000 on it. Runs great (knock on wood)..
Recently, it started burning oil. I am measuring the extra oil (between changes and after checking the dipstick) that I put in the car. I hate to get rid of this car. Runs super. What is your estimate of my time left for this Camry or how much oil that I add between changes is telling me it is time to give up?
I check the dipstick each time I am going to use it. I mainly use it for 30 miles roundtrip for work.
Hope this makes sense. I have always been accurate with oil changes, every 3000 miles.
I use 10w30 Castrol synthetic blend for older cars w. 75,000 or more miles.

    thanks

The 2AZ-FE is a very solid engine, but 300,000 miles is more than its average lifespan (250,000 miles with proper maintenance). I think that after the next 2-3 years of operation you will want to get rid of it.
