The architecture of the new Colorado RWD mid-size pickup truck, based on the integrated frame body structure developed by GM engineers, provides excellent driving performance, true versatility, and a noble appearance.

The new Colorado was developed by a highly skilled team of Brazilian GM engineers, who put all their skill and experience into adapting the car for various countries around the world, including the Southeast Asia region.

With two-level chassis and suspension adjustments, the new Colorado range delivers superior handling and handling not typical of midsize pickups. The result is a car that is equally ideal for transporting goods and for daily trips around the city.

For Colorado, GM engineers have developed a new family of turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engines that combine power with fuel efficiency. GM’s recently commissioned US $ 200 million engine plant in Thailand produces Duramax diesel engines in 2.8 and 2.5 liters displacement.

The 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine features a variable turbine geometry turbocharger for optimum power and torque across the entire engine speed range and a balance shaft for smoother engine performance. The resource of both engine components is at least 240 thousand kilometers of vehicle mileage.

The 2.8-liter engine with 180 hp (132 kW), with 346 ft-lb (470 Nm) of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission (324 ft-lb / 440 Nm – with a 5-speed manual transmission). The 2.5-liter engine with 150 hp. (110 kW), produces 258 ft-lb (350 N m) of torque.
