Audi A3 Oil Capacity and Oil Type

The Audi A3 is a luxury car that has been on the market for over 20 years. The Audi A3 offers a variety of features and comes in different engine sizes, making it an attractive choice for many drivers. In this article, we will review the Audi A3’s oil type, transmission fluid, and best spark plugs.

What Kind Of Oil Does an Audi A3 Take?

The SAE 0W-20 fully synthetic motor oil that comes with the AudiA3 has a viscosity of 0W-20. It stores 6 US quarts of oil. For a complete fluid replacement, you’ll need at least 5 one-quart bottles, which will set you back between $3 and $17 per bottle. A funnel may be purchased for anywhere from $1 to $4.

To change the oil, you’ll need to jack up Your A3, remove the drain plug at the bottom of the oil reservoir, and twist it loose. After this is completed, re-tighten it and unscrew the top cap. Pour new oil into the tank until it reaches the maximum fill line with a funnel. Finally, replace the cap and close the hood.

Oil with a viscosity of SAE 0W-20 may be used in gasoline engines at all temperatures for normal driving. Use SAE 5W-30 for diesel engines.

What’s the Difference Between 5W-40 and 5W-30?

Engine oil is 5w40, which indicates the weight and viscosity of the engine. Its lower viscosity is 5 and its higher viscosity is 40. Because it has a lower viscosity, 5w30 may be used in hot or cold climates. Because it has a greater viscosity, 5w40 cannot be used in any circumstances because it would cause damage to your engine.

Is Liqui Moly Good For Audi A3?

Engines require specific oils to be certified by organizations that approve the oil for use in your vehicle. For example, if Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, Porsche, or Mercedes Benz request LIQUI MOLY to be used as an OEM-approved oil, you can trust that their lubrication technology is suitable for your car.
