This lightweight full-size pickup has been produced in the USA for over 40 years. In the summer of 2020, Ford introduced a new generation of the F-150 model. Externally, the car has been greatly redesigned. The shape of the headlights has changed, the design of the radiator grille – by the way, there are 11 types in total, depending on the configuration – the configuration of the front bumper and fog lights.

The shape of the side mirrors has been changed. The rear of the pickup has been updated less, here the engineers limited themselves to using a new form of stamping on the cargo compartment flap and bumper. It is noteworthy that the manufacturer managed to improve aerodynamic performance, thus increasing fuel efficiency.

The interior of the new F-150 has also changed. The top trim levels now offer a multimedia system with a 12-inch screen. An 8-inch touchscreen on the center console remains standard on mid-priced XL and XLT versions.

In expensive versions of the pickup, a digital instrument panel with a diagonal of 12 inches is available.

Various power plants are used for the F-150 pickup. The new model has a hybrid transmission option, which consists of a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 petrol engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 35 kW electric motor equivalent to 47 hp. from. The electric motor is powered by a 1.5-kilowatt lithium-ion battery, which is designed to operate in extreme temperatures and under heavy loads. The hybrid powertrain produces a combined 430 horsepower, which helps the pickup to operate under heavy load when transporting goods and towing trailers.

In addition, the electric motor is also used in generator mode to power external sources. In addition to the hybrid power plant, the pickup is equipped with engines with volumes: 3.3 liters (naturally aspirated V6, 290 HP), 2.7 liters (turbocharged V6, 325 HP), 5.0 liters (naturally aspirated V8, 400 HP), 3.0 liters (turbocharged diesel V6, 250 HP) and 3.5 liters (biturbo V6, 400 HP). Rear-wheel drive is standard on the F-150, but all-wheel drive versions with an electronically controlled transfer case are optionally available. In the 4×4 version, the rear differential, in turn, can be free or have an electronic lock.
