One of two power plants can be installed in the engine compartment of the Kia Sedona / Carnival:

3.3-liter gasoline V6, equipped with a direct fuel supply system, 24-valve timing, and variable valve timing system. The engine generates 276 “horses” and 336 Nm of torque, available at 6000 and 5200 rpm. Such a kit will allow you to exchange the first “hundred” in 8 seconds. and consume about 11.3 liters of fuel for every 100 km of the distance traveled.

A 2.2-liter diesel unit with 16-valve timing and turbocharger allows you to squeeze 202 hp. with. and 441 Nm of torque. With this equipment, the car consumes only about 9 liters of “heavy” fuel per hundred.

At the heart of the minivan is a front-wheel-drive platform, which assumes the longitudinal placement of the “heart”. The body of the model is more than 75% made of high-strength steel. The front suspension features classic MacPherson struts, while the rear suspension features a multi-link mounted on a separate subframe.

In basic versions, the model is offered with rack-and-pinion steering with a hydraulic booster, and in more advanced versions – with electric power steering with variable operating characteristics.

Both the front and rear axles are equipped with disc brakes: ventilated at the front with a diameter of 320 mm, and at the rear – standard ones with a diameter of 302 mm.
