Buick Encore Transmission Fluid Capacity

An automatic gearbox is standard in most new cars. As a result, there isn’t much upkeep to be done. Nonetheless, most owners’ manuals will recommend changing the transmission fluid every 90,000 miles or so.

Because high-pressure cleaning might dislodge debris within the transmission that can jam up the mechanism, flushing your transmission’s fluid has fallen out of favor in recent years.

Your car’s gearbox will last for years of trouble-free operation if you follow the maintenance schedule outlined in your owner’s handbook and your dealership service advisor. Check with your owner’s handbook and your dealer for more details.

The 2022 Encore is one of the smallest crossovers you may buy, with Buick’s more expensive SUVs having the upper hand in terms of style and curvaceous sheet metal. Despite its reduced size, the Encore’s cabin is big enough for four people, and when the back seat is folded down, it can carry a lot of stuff.

The Encore’s 9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard, but if you want more contemporary technology such as driver-assistance functions, there aren’t many options.

The Encore GX is a more recent Buick, but at a significantly higher price, it competes with the BMW X1 and Lexus NX; the regular Encore reviewed here has a comparable starting price to the Kia Seltos and Honda HR-V—but they provide greater value.

The Buick Enclave’s little SUV gets a few improvements for 2022, starting with its engine, which now produces 155 horsepower, up 17 from last year’s model. This year, the basic level has been discontinued, leaving only the Preferred grade available. A new electric heater is standard this year, as are driver- and front-passenger seatback map pockets.
