BMW X2 Oil Capacity and Oil Type

The BMW X2 reminds me of a BMW 3 series, but it is more budget-friendly. It has a sleek design and great technology options. BMW’s new SUV may be the perfect vehicle for those who want something with style, but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on their car purchase. The BMW X2 has been getting rave reviews from all over as well!

Even-number vehicles act as the more premium variants of preceding odd-number cars in BMW’s lineup hierarchy. As a result, the X2 small SUV, which was introduced to the market as a completely new model for 2018, is a brasher, younger version of the X1.

For $2000, the X2 comes standard with either sDrive28i front-wheel or xDrive28i all-wheel drive, which is more akin to a four-door hatchback than an actual SUV. The X2’s sleek form restricts rear cargo capacity to just 21.6 cubic feet in comparison to the X1’s 27.1 cubic feet, for context.

The sDrive28i is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that makes 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the M35i’s turbocharged 2.0-liter produces 302 hp and 332 pound-feet of torque. This is BMW’s most powerful production four-cylinder to date, with all models equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a front axle M Sport differential. The X2 was largely carried over from 2019 to 2021, but the new standard infotainment screen size has increased to 8.8 inches.

What Kind Of Oil Does a BMW X2 Take?

The 0W-20 is the first oil that comes in a BMW X2 engine. The factory recommends an oil change interval of 15,000 miles for all BMW engines.

When your motor oil level is low, the engine temperature will rise, and overheating may result in catastrophic mechanical problems in the long run. Oil maintains the various persuasive elements of your engine apart from each other to avoid damage, knocking, and friction. This is why maintaining proper oil changes is so desirable. Another important function of motor oil is to keep components cool.
