Cars of the Buick Century lineup began to be produced in the 30s of the twentieth century. The car was equipped with a 120 hp gasoline engine which was able to accelerate the vehicle to a speed of 95 mph. At the time, this was considered an impressive result. The Century was temporarily discontinued in 1942 due to World War II.
The serial production of the car in question was resumed in 1954. Naturally, the car received an updated body design and more advanced technical equipment in the new generation. In the seventies, Buick had a serious competitor in the person of Pontiac. In contrast to the vehicles of this company, the Century model was revived in 1973. It was produced in coupe, sedan and station wagon bodies. In the appearance of the car, a long nose part with an original radiator grill stands out, and square headlights are arranged in pairs.
In 1978 and 1982, the Buick Century was updated, the overall dimensions of the body decreased, and new engines appeared in the line of power units. In this form, the car in question with minor upgrades was produced until 1989.

In 1998, the next generation of Century sedans was presented. The car body has decreased in size to 4790x1850x1440 millimeters. The appearance of the sedan has changed dramatically. Sharp corners have almost completely disappeared from the outlines of the body. At the front is a narrow chrome grille. Next to it are the same narrow, elongated headlights combined into a single block with the turn signals. The line of windows rises to the stern, where the sidelights are located, overlooking the side surfaces of the machine. The sedan is equipped with 15-inch wheels.
The interior of the Buick Century is finished in leather. For the front passengers, wide seats are installed, separated by a high box. Rear passengers are provided with a comfortable, roomy sofa.
