The 2022 Audi S5 coupe and cabriolet are the next step up in performance from their lesser-performance A5 siblings. The S5 replaces its smaller sibling’s 261-hp turbo four with a 349-hp turbo V-6. Although the bigger engine is the primary distinction between the two models, it also helps to account for a roughly $10,000 price difference at launch.
To give the S5 coupe and cabriolet the performance to accelerate quicker and handle more, a $1,500 premium is added. It does little to make them more refined or attractive than the ordinary A5, and the sportier version doesn’t have a particularly lovely sound.
The 2022 S5, however, has an easygoing and elegant style that is impossible to ignore, even if it isn’t as thrilling to drive as racier rivals like the BMW M340i and Mercedes-AMG C43.

Thousands of moving parts exist in your Audi DSG gearbox. Over time, these internal elements come into contact with one another, wear down and generate fine metallic particles. These tiny metallic grains pollute your Audi transmission fluid and clog the transmission filter as a result of this contamination. Transmission efficiency and long-term performance are damaged by this pollution, resulting in increased friction and wear on transmission components.
You can significantly extend the life of your Audi’s transmission by having a regular fluid and filter change. With clean DSG fluid and a new transmission filter, you will be giving clean lubrication and efficient filtration to your gearbox. This critical maintenance period will aid in the long-term well lubricated and protected operation of your gearbox, avoiding expensive transmission repairs and difficulties.
Should I Get a Transmission Fluid Change or a Flush?
The flushing procedure does not need the pan to be removed or the filter to be changed, so the diagnostic and preventative value of seeing what’s in the pan and changing the filter is lost. Furthermore, many vehicle manufacturers do not recommend or require a transmission flush as part of their vehicles’ recommended maintenance program. So why bother? Keep track of your owner’s manual’s recommendations for replacing your transmission fluid.
A flush is a way to go if your maintenance plan demands one, or if your transmission fluid has been ignored for an extended period of time and picked up metal particles or other contaminants.
