Regularly changing your Lexus LC’s oil and filter is important to keep your engine running smoothly and extend its life. Here are the steps to change the oil in your Lexus LC:
- Park your Lexus LC on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Lift up the hood and locate the oil fill cap on the driver’s side of the engine.
- Remove the oil fill cap and set it aside.
- Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the engine (it will have a square or hex head).
- Place an oil catch pan under the drain plug and loosen it with an appropriate wrench.
- Allow the oil to drain completely, then replace the drain plug and tighten it to specifications.
- Pour in the new oil, being careful not to overfill.
- Replace the oil fill cap and close the hood.
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
