In September 2015, Chevrolet, a subsidiary of General Motors, unveiled an updated version of the Chevrolet Silverado heavy-duty pickup at a Texas Industrial Fair.

The Chevrolet Silverado has a sturdy steel frame and the same material for the body and cockpit, while its direct competitors in the American market are slowly embracing aluminum.

An eight-speed automatic transmission is installed in all cases as a transmission for the Chevrolet Silverado. It constantly transfers engine torque to the rear wheels. The front ones are connected rigidly, and therefore they can only be used temporarily, for example, to overcome difficult areas.

This vehicle is not equipped with a transmission fluid level dipstick. There is a special procedure for checking and changing the transmission fluid in these vehicles.
