Chevy Silverado is a full-size pickup truck manufactured by General Motors. It was first introduced in 1998. Chevy Silverado comes in different body styles, including regular cab, double cab, and crew cab. It is available with two types of transmissions: 6-speed automatic and 8-speed automatic.

One of the most important aspects of any vehicle is its transmission system, which requires fluid for lubrication and cooling. In this article, we will discuss the Chevy Silverado transmission fluid type and capacity for different models and trims.

It is usually not necessary to check the transmission fluid level. The only reason for the fluid loss is a transmission leak or overheated transmission. This vehicle is not equipped with a transmission fluid level dipstick. There is a special procedure for checking and changing the transmission fluid in these vehicles.

In September 2015, Chevrolet, part of the General Motors Group, unveiled an updated version of its heavy-duty Chevrolet Silverado pickup at the Texas Industrial Fair.

The Chevrolet Silverado has a strong steel frame and body and cab elements made of the same material, while its direct competitors in the U.S. market are slowly beginning to master aluminum.

The 2016 generation of the Chevrolet Silverado differs from its predecessors in its significantly more aggressive appearance, which is emphasized by a predatory double grille, rectangular double-deck headlights, and a prominent front bumper with integrated fog lights and a lower protective insert made of black plastic. At the rear, rectangular wheel arches and LED lights are added.

There are steps in the corners of the body, which help to get into it without lowering the side. Each package also has some individual features that can be used to unmistakably determine the cost of the car and the level of wealth of its owner.
