The prototype model Dodge Caliber debuted in the spring of 2005 at the Geneva Motor Show. The car was put into serial production in 2006. The development of the car was carried out with a focus on the European market. The car should have taken a good place in the golf car segment.
Externally, the five-door hatchback Dodge Caliber 4.5 meters long with a ground clearance of 19.5 centimeters is very similar to a crossover. The car is based on the latest version of the Mitsubishi Lancer platform. This base is also used for American Dodge Neon.
One of two engines can be installed under the hood of the Dodge Caliber: a 1.8-liter engine with a capacity of 140 horsepower, or a 150-horsepower power unit with a working volume of 2 liters. The first version is offered in three trim levels: P0, P1 and P2; the second – in five: the same P0, P1 and P2, supplemented by SXT P1 and SXT P2. The Dodge Caliber has a convertible five-seater saloon.
In 2008, the model underwent a facelift. At the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, an updated Dodge Caliber was unveiled with a redesigned interior and new engines. Some old motors have been removed.

Dodge Caliber is a model that won the hearts of millions of motorists back in 2006 and left production 8 years later. Today we will figure out what advantages and disadvantages this car has, as well as study the reviews of Dodge owners in order to understand whether it is worth purchasing.
The Dodge Caliber is a roomy, five-seat C-class hatchback produced by the American company Chrysler. The car replaced the Dodge Neon and immediately attracted increased attention from the public: a powerful, brutal appearance knocked out of urban everyday life. Despite the fact that all overhangs of the car have sharp logs without smooth, graceful curves, it was in high demand. In 2011, its production was discontinued, but connoisseurs of American quality continue to hunt for this model to this day.
Despite the fact that the design of this vehicle was developed more than 12 years ago, it still excites the hearts of motorists. Caliber’s calm and at the same time, aggressive appearance attracts increased attention. The first thing that catches your eye is the rugged front end, equipped with a large chrome grille and a cruciform insert, typical for all Dodge models. Halogen headlights in combination with a massive front bumper harmoniously complement the image of the stern car. If you look at it from the side, you can see that the protrusion of the hatchback hood above the level of the fenders is an unusual solution that fits perfectly into the design. This feature also has a downside – the overstated hood interferes with the driver’s view, but you can get used to it quickly enough.
