What Kind Of Oil Does a Buick Cascada Take?

The Buick Cascada is designed to run on SAE 5W-30 oil. When it’s time to change the oil, Buick suggests using fully synthetic oil for the best protection.

The Buick Cascada, which has been on the market in Europe since 2013 under the Opel Cascada nameplate, debuted in North America in 2015. With no visible rooftop covers, a clean profile, and a sporty front end featuring a bulged hood and sharp-angled headlights, the outside design was quite similar to the European version.

The Buick Cascada convertible was one of the most inexpensive vehicles on the market, yet it still offered comfort and plenty of space for four people. A lesser price came with some compromises, such as a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that produced 200 horsepower. Although 200 horsepower may not sound too terrible, the Cascada was a big vehicle, thus acceleration was somewhat disappointing.

Cascada, on the other hand, was a little more practical than its competitors. While the rear seats were in fact usable, the trunk size was greater than usual. There are two trim levels available for the 2016 Buick Cascada: Base and Premium.

The entry-level model came with a host of standard features, including 20-inch wheels, foglights, adaptive xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, heated mirrors, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a rearview camera, smartphone integration (Android Auto), and a seven-speaker radio.
