How to Reset the Maintenance Light on a 2003 Toyota 4Runner

Question

Hi everyone,

I recently completed an oil change on my 2003 Toyota 4Runner, but the maintenance light is still on. I’ve tried a few things but can’t seem to figure out how to reset it. Can anyone provide a step-by-step guide on how to reset the maintenance light? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

esetting the maintenance light on your 2003 Toyota 4Runner is pretty straightforward. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position without starting the engine.
    2. Set the odometer to display the total mileage (not the trip meter) by pressing the odometer button.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position.
    4. Press and hold the odometer button.
    5. While holding the button, turn the ignition switch back to the “ON” position (without starting the engine).
    6. Continue to hold the button until the maintenance light turns off (this should take about 10 seconds).
    7. Release the button, and the light should be reset.

    Hope this helps!
