Dodge is the American subsidiary of Chrysler Corporation. Dodge manufactures both passenger cars and off-road vehicles. Its founders are brothers John and Goreis Dodge. The main office of the company is located in the suburb of Detroit – Highland Park. Until 1914, a small company of the Dodge brothers was engaged in the production of components for the famous Ford and Olds Motor factories. The brothers’ company, having absorbed all the latest production technologies of that time since 1914 begins to produce its own cars.

The well-known Henry Ford brought the brothers, albeit unsuccessfully, legal claims on the Dodge’s use of Ford’s technology of standardization and in-line assembly. Already on November 14, 1914, the first car of the Dodge brothers was released, which was later nicknamed “Old Betsy”. Following the “old woman”, another 249 similar cars left the plant by the end of the year.

Dart’s design can hardly be called memorable (someone will even say that in profile it looks like a Hyundai Elantra), and the most striking detail is the lanterns with a jumper in the spirit of modern Dodges. The short, duck-up tail of the boot lid and the flattened hood gives a bit of swiftness to the car, which is positioned as a youth sedan.

The relationship of the Chrysler 200 with the Dart can be traced only along the window line, otherwise, it is perceived as a completely different car: the complex design with chrome strips of the front part resembles the rim of expensive glasses, and the sloping trunk lid looks completely in the spirit of old English models. Nevertheless, the shape of the lanterns and headlights is quite simple, and the plastic of the body sidewalls refers to the heyday of design.
