The Cadillac XT4 is a fine luxury SUV. It has a lot of features, huge passenger capacity, and lots of boot space in the back seats. However, there are a few issues with this vehicle. The acceleration is sluggish, and overall performance is disappointing. This Cadillac also falls behind in terms of interior and ride comfort when compared to similar luxury subcompact SUVs.
The XT4 is Cadillac’s smallest SUV, positioned below the XT5, XT6, and Escalade. It was introduced for the 2019 model year and measures between a subcompact and a compact luxury SUV in terms of size. The Acura RDX, Infiniti QX50, and Volvo XC40 are its closest rivals.
The 2021 Cadillac XT4 is a small-ish premium-crossover SUV. We say “ish” because it’s not as big as the compact Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, for example, but slightly larger than the subcompact Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class.
The new XT4 isn’t a quantum leap over the last, but it does have a distinct advantage: It can split into two. The latest generation of Audi Q3 is larger than its forerunner, and the Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class has debuted.
The 2021 XT4 is positioned between price brackets, much like its precursor. This is another aspect of Cadillac’s attractiveness. The firm offers plenty of amenities, excellent suspensions, and what some may consider beautiful looks at a lower price than a comparable German rival.
