BMW 6 Series – luxury sports car, initially available as a 2-door coupe, and further development has been designed as a convertible and 4-door coupe. The postwar history of the sports coupe BMW began in 1956, namely a BMW 503, then the story went on BMW 3200 CS 1962, hereinafter coupe “New Class” – 2000 CS 1965 and sporty luxury coupe with E9 body number launched into production in 1968 year.

The 6-series is the only one that produced intermittently in the production, because at the end of production of the first generation E24, has been introduced 8 series, produced from 1989 to 1999, and only four years after the end of production of this model there was presented second generation of the 6-series.
